Organisation

The Belgian Knowledge Centre for SME Financing (Non-Profit Association) is articulated around its Board of directors, a consultative body, the Scientific Steering Committee, and a permanent team, the BeCeFi Secretariat.

The composition of the Board of Directors is the following:
Jean-Pierre Remacle, President, representing the Participation Fund
Marc Van den Bergh, Vice-President
Frédéric Lernoux, Managing Director

The Scientific Steering Committee meets four times per annum. It is chaired by Mr Johan Bortier and includes expert representatives of the players concerned:

	Federal Ministry of Finance, Employment and Middle Classes
	Regional Ministry of Economy
	The National Bank of Belgium (BNB/NBB)
	Febelfin
	Federal Public Services Finance and Economy & SMEs
	Regional public economic statistics bodies
	Federal and regional operators involved in SME financing support
	Institutes encompassing quantification professionals
	SME representative organisations
	Universities
	Independant key experts

The BeCeFi Secretariat concretizes the various projects. It consists of a manager, Mr Jean-Pierre Watthy, and several permanent employees. A working agreement regulates the collaboration between the NPA and the BeCeFi Secretariat, established within the Participation Fund.
